Housed in the historic Hardesty-Higgins House, the Valley Turnpike Museum is located right on the famous road it gets its name from. The museum explores the complete history of the road, from it's beginning as a buffalo path to Stonewall Jackson's famous Valley Campaign trail to the toll road era and beyond.
